Hello, and err help!!
Hello all, finally found an active dental forum.
I am not in the business (wish I did it instead of teaching) but merely joined to get views for some work I am having done at present (abroad). Any advice would be greatly appreciated from you techies!
Anyhow, Earlier this month I got some artificial bone filled around a missing lateral incisor(for future implant).
The sutures were removed 10 days ago, and the gum has not fused over, but there is a gap (3mm x 2mm) of what I think is bio-gide or bio-oss peeping through.
The gum is not red around this, and I asked the surgeon who carried it out about it, and he said while not ideal, to clean carefully, and possibly get some soft laser treatment or find someone with a bioptron lamp.
Should I be concerned? or is there anything else I could do to aid healing...
Tom
ps: sorry if this is posted in the wrong place
