how can i approach ielts confidently?
IELTS is not a piece of cake that you can master it overnight or in a day or two. Firstly, if you are good in English then also you need to devote some time for IELTS. Alright, now the main question is how do you get prepared so that you can expect the maximum out of the test. I will give you a systematic approach to tackle IELTS and if you follow, it will help you in some ways and I am sure about it.
READING: This part is really tricky as you have less time to answer more questions. So you could probably read the questions first, underline the keywords and then start looking for answers as you read through the passage.Remember to retain the key words in your mind, if not the entire question, while reading the passage. Read fast ( skim ) and the moment you get any of the keywords, stop and read the sentence or paragraph properly. This will help you to save a lot of valuable time and answer as many questions. Well, also remember that most of the questions come according to the passage order.
WRITING: This is something you need to practice a lot. Start writing an essay everyday. so sharpen you pencil and get going !
LISTENING: Again practice . For reference go to sites which you can find in Google and sites from the British council. Also start listening to news, discussions, anything that is in English and try to retain as much information you can.
SPEAKING : Talk as much as you can in English. This is something you really really need to practice. If you dont find anyone, talk to yourself, if possible record it , listen to it and find it out yourself if you speak well or ...So you can be a chatterbox for sometime provided you chat only in English.
Well, brother I am trying to give you some opinions because I didn't had anyone to suggest me when I needed the most and I know how hard it is if you don't have any idea about it.
Anyways, ALL THE BEST !
