My mom's boyfriend's son has ADHD and his dad said that a cup of coffee a day should do it because the caffeine counteracts with the hyperactivity calming the child. I've seen it in action and its pretty good to be homemade.

Love is the best medicen. I was put on drugs and when I was 12 for the same problems and I finaley got off them after 28 years of depression and drug abuse. Do Not Use Drugs to cure what only time and love can

My son is a bit of both ADD and ADHD and he gets allot of love he is very sensitive and cry's over the smallest things. He also is hyper as well. I am currently on a path to figure out ways to help him out I had the same problem as a kid and figured out every way to counter act my own moods with ADHD. Your son may have a bit of both like my son.

With my son he cant stop playing with his hands, toys, sitting still, staying on task in school, talking to everyone, and he wants to eat all the time cause he is a busy boy. I do give him a little bit of coffee and it does calm him a bit but I only do this on the days he is really bad cause he is not always hyper active at all. I don't want to put him on meds at all but I also don't want to give him allot of coffee there is no soda in my house at all I cant have it same as my daughter so we cant have it at all. I have run into your same problem and feel your pain in how to deal with this. I really hope you find a better way to deal with this and I will keep up with this post.

Gelsemium can help relieve anticipatory anxiety & Ignatia can help to alleviate anger or temper tantrums.

My daughter has ADHD as well. I have a yoga ball that I let her bounce on when she is getting overly active. Have him sit on it like he sits in a chair and bounce. It helps release the extra energy. If it is nice we go outside and I have her run. I have been taking her to the chiropractor and that seems to help, but it doesn't last very long. My chiropractor recommended fish oil, but it didn't seem to help, plus it is expensive to get chewable ones for kids. I also suggest going to your hospital/clinic and asking if they have an ADHD parent seminar or support group. I went to the seminar and it puts ADHD in perspective. They give you ideas on how to get your ADHD child to listen, what to tell them about their disorder, ect... Good luck!

First how do you know he has ADHD many kids are miss diagnosed the clue is does he have a problem both at home and school if the answer is no then he dosn't have it go to a counseler they can offer help with out drugs don't rule out medication untill you take a close look at just what it is that the doctor is wanting to use
