Reflexology is a bunch of crap. The only "benefits" reported are more than likely a combination of placebo (things work because the patient thinks they do) or relaxation/reduced stress from a nice massage.

People usually get better on their own, without doing anything. However, whatever random treatment they attempted usually gets the credit. This is how anecdotal evidence becomes substantiated and folk remedies are perpetuated.
