try using a farouk chi straightener. It has been a whole year since my wife has been purchasing and testing hair strighteners and the farouk chi has been the best one so far.

Besides a good trim, I recommend Redken Extreme Deep Fuel, Nexxus Emergencee, Dudley's DRC-28, or ApHogee Treatment for Damaged Hair(follow the directions precisely). To hold on to any length you gain, use less heat on your hair and try not to manipulate (comb, brush, or otherwise mess with) your hair too much. Also try wearing your hair up more often.
