A trip from my hairdresser:

Do not put conditioner on your scalp, just on the ends of your hair and work through. Also, do not wash your hair with hot water - it dries the scalp. Use tepid (lukewarm) water instead.

I also recommend using softened water to wash your hair...most household water supplies have very hard water. There are several different contraptions you can buy to soften your water - either for your whole household or even just a filter which attaches to your tap or a showerhead. Think of it this way - hard water produces limescale - and imagine what limescale does to your scalp...you got it!

Try Henna for two hours in month can give better results. You will get this henna cream from any beautiparlor or henna powder fromshops. I have tried many methods and i realized that its too tough to eliminate dandruff permanently. Its a part of your skin. Using cocunut oil regularly also will control this

do not use head and shoulders. all it is doing is peeling your skin off and then dandruff will come back. dandruff is yellow so if your "dandruff" is white it is much more likely to be dry skin. so use a moisturising shampoo.
