hair growth?

hey every 1
i m here to ask u something regarding hair.does hair grows from root or from tip???
if root then y do we cut the split ends and if tip then y do we apply oil on the scalp???
plz answer

hair grows from the root, hon. trust me. if it grew from the tip, i'd have dark ends when i need to dye my hair again.
such is not the case. cute question.

It grows out from the root.And the reason we cut split ends is so that they stop right there instead of splitting all the way to the root. You only need oil on the scalp if you have dry one

It is from the root where hair do need nutrient and anything that u apply on the scalp to help it grow healthier and whatsoever.. we cut the split end to prevent further damages..

Your hair grows from the roots, but if we snip our split ends, it keeps them from splitting all the way up to the healthy hair at the roots and damaging that as well.

The oil on the scalp helps it grow easier. We cut the split ends that why they worn spread to the scalp. Splitends can be long the longers one i had was about 5 inches it looked like a tree. GROSS
