I heard this statement several times but don't know if it's a joke, a fact or a comfort lie to people starting to show it. So my grandad is NOT bald...my dad got bald but after he had me. So I was about 1 or 2 years old when he started working nights and stuff and because of stress and a "dennis" who was doing only bad things around the house(that's me) he started loosing hair and now he's bald. So...what are my chances? I'm 22 and I couldn't say I'm lossing hair..I have a bigger forhead...but don't we all? :) Leaving humor aside, can someone tell me what are the odds of me getting bald? 10x

im gonna say no. i think baldness is pretty consistant... atleast, it is in my family.

in addition, stress and poor lifestyle habbits DO effect things like hair and skin... so if you are healthy and stuff, your odds are better. :)

False, you get baldness from your mothers side, so look at the men in her family not your fathers.

I don't about your odds but that skip a generation or getting it from the men on your moms side is a big load. It's genetic the way other things are genetic like eyes and hair and what not. You don't hear people say that eye color skips a generation. I think if your dad went bald your chances are pretty high.

False. My grandpa is bald, so are my Dad and uncles. My brothers are neither exception. Let's wait and see how my nephews are, they're now under age 10 !!
