My hair is super oily. I wash it every night, but by the middle of the next day it's looking scummy and grungy. Is there any way I can make it less oily. I live in a hot place, I think that makes it worse. Any ideas?
I do lather, but I use whatever shampoo is at hand. I also have to use conditioner because my hair is very fine and if I don't my hair gets all fluffy and it looks like I'm in a hurricane everythime someone breathes in my direction.

When you take a shower, do you lather your hair? Lathering is when you work the shampoo into your hair and it gets all sudsy. It you dont, then your hair will look all gross, like you haven't showered in months. Also, use conditioner. It helps your hair stay protected and puts a great soft silky shine to it!

You should try Pantene Clarifying Shampoo and Conditioner it will help with the oilyness.

Stay away from moisturizing shampoos and do not use conditioners. Your head is overfull of both of those componants. RINSE, RINSE, RINSE - shampoo left in hair causes oilyness. Keep your hands out of your hair and try not to use the hair dryer. Over drying your scalp causes your head to produce extra oils. Try to brush only your hair and not your scalp, too much activity on your scalp also causes oil production. Good Luck!

Try washing your hair in the morning; it will look fresher throughout the day and use conditioner only on your ends because conditioner can get greasy.

Are you using a shampoo made for oily hair? Perhaps, what you are using has too much moisture in it. Are you lathering and rinsing well? Maybe, try shampooing twice? Some need to. Or, try rinsing with vinegar once a week or so? It helps to clean off impurities. Do you have dandruff also? The vinegar will help that as well.
