Hi, I took the Kaplan GRE prep course and am really happy with it. I was wondering though if anyone took the course recently (including the CAT exams they offer on-line) and the actual GRE. Did these CAT exams really reflect the GRE? did you score similarly? Were the antonyms more difficult than expected or less (I'm working on studying all the Kaplan vocab- around 500 words. is that enough??)<br />I appreciate any feedback- as you can see I'm freaking out b/c of this exam!!!!<br />Thanks!<br />

I once took the Princeton Review course, and they did have answers very similar to the regular GRE questions. The ETS releases the GRE tests after a certain amount of time (e.g., a 1998-1999 exam might be released in 2003), so it's available to many organizations, including Princeton Review and Kaplan. Besides, the actual exams questions are taken from a question bank, which remains relatively stable. Also, these organizations send people over to write the exams themselves just to check it out for stuff like vocab.

In conclusion, the scores correlate quite well.
