I have an IQ of over 160, I scored 1560 on my SATs and my MCAT, GMAT and GRE scores are all respectable. My GPA in Undergrade was 3.85 and Graduate of 4.00 as are my Post Grad of 4.00<br /><br />So why can't I spell as well as my 16 year old.<br /><br />Is there a medical reason for this?<br />

Spelling is not based on intelligence but memory. Still your 16 year old may have an IQ of 180.

no, it just tells you taht your brian works in different ways than your 16 year old and everyone else...

You can't spell because (to oversimplify it) the spelling function in your brain is not hooked up right for it. It's just an individual difference that you have. There are a lot of highly intelligent people who can't spell (and I'm a great example of a complete idiot who can, lol).

i would say you sound like a prodigy. im sort of one to. ive been placed in the top 2% of the world for spatinal intellegence but i couldnt spell or use grammer to save my life. you have overly high intellegence in one area so other areas suffer like a blind person has increased hearing.
