I don't know if the GRE is any different in India, but from what I read on their website the test should be the same worldwide.
I took the computer based version four years ago and found it easier than I expected, but I had already taken some similar tests for business school and medical school.
I would conserve your resources as all graduate students by their very nature are impoverished. If you have internet access I would use the Merriam Webster online dictionary and thesaurus. I have included the link below.
Since I believe the test is written in the United States the M-W would be appropriate as that is written in the US as well. There are subtle variations in language that may be a concern if you buy something produced in the UK or in India to prepare for a test designed in the US.
As an example my Indian friends tinkle me from time to time, however to my American friends tinkle means urinate and they get fits of laughter when they hear someone say they will tinkle me tonight.
Similarly going out of station confuses my American friends because they are looking for a train station rather than simply wondering if I will be out of town overnight.
So I think your best purchase would be none at all if you have regular Internet access during your studies. Otherwise you may wish to use the Merriam-Webster site as an adjunct to whatever you purchase.
N.B. There is an option to pay a fee for an expanded unabriged Merriam-Webster dictionary but I have not found that I have required that more than once or twice a year.
Good luck on the test!
