Using the DNA evidence one can determine male or female by the presence of a Y chromosome. I don't know of any indication that DNA evidence is being used to determine whether the person was handicapped. Only a limited number of physical and mental handicaps have an identified genetic basis (eg downs syndrome). I doubt it'd be worth the effort to test unless there was other indications that the individual had a genetic condition.
In regards to age: the age of a specific cell can be estimated by telomere length. This requires relatively intact samples. There are better ways to estimate age, based on physical characters of the bones. I doubt DNA is used. |
