Dentists open on Saturday or emergency treatment - Bristol area?

Hi

I need a wisdom tooth removed and a root canal filling. I won't go into the problems i've had with my dentist but would like to find a dentist in the Bristol area who is open on a Saturday or evenings. I'm not happy with the way l keep being charged for my dentists mistakes so looking for a trustworthy and professional practice. Many thanks
Hi,thks for the answers so far. The dental hospital said l have to be there at 8am but then won't treat me as l've had treatment from another dentist.I was in agony over the weekend from the filling l had 3 weeks ago and ended up going to hospital to get antibiotics and painkillers.Reason l need a Saturday is because i've taken 3 atfernoons off already. I paid for a consultation, had the filling a week later, it was the wrong type (need a root canal) but was told it may cause pain and i'll have to go back.I called last week but my dentist was on holiday, they didn't refer me to anyone else and the hospital said that was terrible and to call and complain, which l did on Monday.I got an 'emergency' appointment today, took another arvo off work, waited an hour after my app. time & saw the other dentist who is private only (explains why they didn't refer me to him, can't see how you can run a practice with only 1 dentist doing part NHS!).He charged me for a 5 min consul, tried to make out the
the tooth pain was from my ulcer which only appeared when my gums and jaw flared up,also blamed it on a different tooth. The truth is my other dentist messed up as l told him that i'd been told earlier in the year the tooth had a crack and l needed more than a normal filling, he said l didn't. I went in with a temp filling l didn't have much of a problem with although having it 8 mths, paid for a private white filling and have been in agony. I wish l hadn't bothered, now l had to pay a patronising rude dentist today£15.90 NHS consul fees to tell me what l told them on the phone, l thought l was going in for treatment today. 2 consultations and 1 filling later and over £100 out of pocket and l'm still in agony, left of my face has swollen and l'm fuzzed out from the hospital medication. I just don't feel this surgery deserves my money,l bet they will charge me for their mistake. The hospital btw was BRILLIANT!I just want a new dentist, but now have no money,i'm v v upset & said l wouldn'
wouldn't tell you the whole story but now l have !. I've spoken to NHS direct, they were great too but have also put me in contact with Dental Hosp and the out of hours avon dental people, both of whom will only see you if you have no dentist. At the weekend, the den hosp can only give you painkillers. Anyway, thanks again, l will try every dental place until someone can see me and l don't have to keep going back to be charged when it's treatment l need !! :-)
Hi I live in Bristol and I think you will be hard pushed to find one open on a Saturday especially for that kind of treatment. You used to be able to go the the dental hospital (next the eye hospital by the bus station) and just turn up and wait to be seen but I am not sure if they do that anymore. There is a large dental practice on the main roundabout at Filton - I call it the Rolls Royce roundabout - top of gloucester road by Snow and Rock. They are taking on NHS patients and may be open on a Saturday. It may be a case of getting out the yellow pages and ringing around - good luck.

The Dental Hospital only take you if it's a desperate emergency and they prefer you to be unregistered. Have you tried looking on NHS Direct as they've got lists of dentists on there. My dentist in Bristol is lousy - keeps telling me I'm just playing him up when I'm terrified!
