What do I ask the dentist to do to my

teeth? I'm thinking about visiting my dentist again; the last time I've visited the dentist was about 10 years ago. What should I tell my dentist to do to my teeth or what procedure should I ask to be done with my teeth? please help

Just get a normal cleaning and check-up. The dentist will let you know if anything turns up.

Get a good cleaning and exam. If your teeth are fine, then all the better, but boy will your mouth feel good!

Ask him to check for cavities, plaque build up, and gum disease. oh also ask him to clean your teeth meaning get rid of the plaque on them and maybe you could ask him to bleach them for you which is a whiteing method. oh and ask him what toothpaste to use to make your teeth stronger and heathier, and you should be ok for now.

Ask for never ever to take-out any of your valuable tooth ! Do filling smoothly and properly if needed, otherwise the filling will trap the waste in your mouth. Good luck.

The Dentist or Assistant will take X-Rays and do a complete exam. They will let you know at that point what work needs to be done now, and what can wait. They should also clean your teeth too at the first visit, but, because it has been 10 years since you have seen a dentist, it may take a few visits to get everything done. If they tell you that you need major work done, like root canal or crowns, then always get a second opinion. Don't worry at all and let them take care of you and your teeth.

Certainly the dentist will tell you what you need. S/he'll do a full mouth xray and have a consultation with you. They will tell you exactly what you need and what the treatment schedule should be like. I'm sure you'll need a good cleaning, they may even want to do it twice. The first time to scrape off the plaque, the second for a 'regular' cleaning.
